New Delhi: Fairness benchmark Sensex jumped 194 factors to shut at a contemporary file on Wednesday, monitoring good points in index heavyweights HDFC twins, Tata Metal and ICICI Financial institution.
Closing above the 53,000 mark for the primary time, the 30-share BSE index jumped 193.58 factors or 0.37 per cent to 53,054.76.
Equally, the broader NSE Nifty rose 61.40 factors or 0.39 per cent to its contemporary file peak of 15,879.65.
Tata Metal was the highest gainer within the Sensex pack, rallying over four per cent, adopted by Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Financial institution, HDFC, Nestle India, Asian Paints and Solar Pharma.
However, Titan, Maruti, Reliance Industries and Tech Mahindra have been among the many laggards.
“Markets bounced again into the constructive terrain in afternoon commerce led by metallic shares.
