Doha: Qatar has detected three extra coronavirus instances amongst employees on World Cup stadiums, organisers stated Thursday, bringing the variety of infections amongst these concerned in 2022 match building to eight.

The Gulf nation has reported seven deaths from the COVID-19 illness and 4,103 instances in whole, asserting the primary infections in stadium employees on Wednesday.

Constructing work for the stadiums and infrastructure to stage the match has continued by the disaster at the same time as non-essential retail has been halted and mosques, parks and eating places have closed.

“The Supreme Committee for Supply & Legacy (SC) has confirmed that two employees members who work for a SC contractor have examined optimistic for COVID-19,” organisers stated in an announcement.

On Wednesday the SC stated that employees at three of the seven stadiums being constructed from scratch for the 2022 match had been affected.
