New Delhi: Newly constructed domes of Kartarpur Gurudwara in Pakistan on Friday (April 17, 2020) collapsed as a result of thunderstorm within the space. The preliminary data means that round eight newly constructed domes of the skin perimeter of the Gurudwara collapsed throughout the rain and thunderstorm within the space.
4 of the domes which collapsed had been on minars – 2 on the museum, 1 on dewanistan and 1 on darshan deori. No injury was reported to the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Gurudwara.
The collapse comes simply 6 months after the development of the Gurudwara. The Gurudwara was inaugurated in November 2019.
The Holy place has been closed since March 15 as a result of world COVID-19 outbreak around the globe.
Responding to a social media publish, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science & Know-how, Ch Fawad Hussain mentioned, “Conveyed this to Noor Ul Haq Qadri, Minister of Spiritual Affairs with a request for an inquiry.”
In November 2018, India and Pakistan introduced the institution of a direct border-crossing linking Gurudwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, the ultimate resting place of Sikh religion founder Guru Nanak, to Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district.
Kartarpur is situated in Pakistan’s Narowal district throughout the Ravi river, about four km from Dera Baba Nanak in India.
